Review for Shot Pro by Sean D Brown

I want to thank the good people at Shot Pro for allowing me to do this review.

You can find more info about them here. I also want to thank Time and Oak  for this shoot as this was a great chance to plan out a shoot with this app for the review. I will update this blog post with a link to the final video once it’s done.

Stock footage, Shot on Red Epic 5k Raw.

Hey everyone,

Today I uploaded a few clips to my account at Nimia. All of the footage was shot on the Red Epic or the Red Scarlet in 4k or 5k.

If you find a clip on the site you like and want it in Red Raw in 4k or 5k please let me know and we can set up a special account just for that.

Hope you enjoy the footage and I am always open to special requests for stock footage.

Subaru Japan- Dentsu

This spring I got to travel to Norway and all around Oregon working on a Subaru campaign for the Japanese agency called Dentsu

They cover about 11% of the global marketshare for ad’s.

I wanted to share a few links to the work I shot for them and the Discovery Channel Japan.

Red Epic Portland Rentals

Red Epic rentals for the Portland area are available as well as my canon CNE Cinema lens.
Write me for rates at

The lens for rent that I own are the 24,35,50 and 85 mm Cinema lens all above 1.5 T stop.

The Red Epic has a Canon Mount for all canon lens.

Longer rentals will come with discounted rates.

Web series

So this last month has been pretty busy for me. I got the chance to shoot for Columbia Sportswear, X Box. A national TV Show, and now a Web Series that is taking me to India.

Made some new investments in Cinema Glass and happy with the quality and caliber of the work that’s coming in.

Looking forward to great projects in 2014.

RED Scarlet X Resolution

The new Red Scarlet Shoots 5k Res Stills and 4k Res Movies. (CLICK PHOTOS FOR BIGGER SHOTS)

That’s way bigger then 1080P HD. Here is a chart that shows you just how big.

I took some test shots to see how much I can zoom in on a image and still get a good shot. What you will see here is a 5k, 5120 × 2700 Still and then a 100% blow up of it.

As you can see the image quality retained is amazing. So much detail in the window and outside remains.I will leave you off with a 4k still of both dogs.(4096 × 2160)

New Technology

As time goes by technology gets better and better. Right now I have been shooting a lot of my projects on the Canon 5d Mark ii and when lucky enough the RED One. Soon Canon and RED have an announcement “dule” both releasing a new camera that will take the industry by storm. I am already leaning towards the RED Scarlet. I have been following it for three years now and love working with the RED One and RED Epic. So stand by and watch as the battle between this two major companies takes off and us the industry professionals ( and our clients) win.

Also new for me is a shoot I will be working on soon with RED Epic in 3d. We will have up to 3,3d rigs on set. Should be a great time.
